12th and 13th April
Following the recent advances at NESSI and at Future Internet levels, NESSI is organising its first NESSI Projects Summit in Valencia, on 12th and 13th April 2010.
Open to all, this event focuses on the existing and future results emerging from the coordinated research of NESSI Strategic (NSP) and Compliant Projects (NCP). It also highlights how NEXOF, the NESSI Open Service Framework, is a unique coherence mechanism providing the way to put research results in relation to each other and increase their overall impact and uptake.
On Monday 12th April, the full-day plenary session will be dedicated to presentations by all NSPs and some specific NCPs using a common format – providing a complete and in-depth view of the on-going and upcoming results.
On Tuesday 13th April, two parallel sessions will enable more in-depth and interactive exchanges on the specific results of the NSPs.
In parallel, the NESSI exhibition space will host specific stands for each NSP and some NCPs. A NESSI stand will also provide the complete information on the research organisation, the membership rules and answer any questions you may have about NESSI.
Attendance is free of charge for the two days, including the Monday evening Gala dinner. However, pre-registration is compulsory, as the meeting rooms have a maximum capacity. The registration will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
NESSI has defined a sponsoring package specifically for the NESSI Projects Summit. Sponsoring packages will provide you with a great visibility both at the level of the IT industry and academia but also at the level of the European political institutions, as the NESSI Projects Summit is hosted during the EU Spanish Presidency “Economic Recovery” week where over 1,000 attendees are expected. The stands operated by NESSI will remain active not only during the two days but for the full duration of the conference.
The NESSI Projects Summit is a unique hands-on opportunity for researchers from both academia and industry.
The event will answer all these questions and more. This event is of specific interests to attendees
NESSI – the Networked European Software and Services Initiative - is the European Technology Platform devoted to the transformation of software in a service-distribution model. Launched in 2005, NESSI unites over 400 organisations from industry and academia. NESSI’s governance promotes an open membership for ICT organisations to join its community and transparent processes for projects and results to contribute to its development.
NESSI provides a unified view for European research in Services Architectures and Software Infrastructures that define technologies, strategies and deployment policies fostering new, open, industrial solutions and societal applications.
NESSI defines its vision through the Strategic Research Agenda and its main delivery is NEXOF, the NESSI Open Service Framework, designed to enable the Future Internet of Services. Through NEXOF, NESSI provides a strong technological and convergence mechanism to which existing and new research projects can contribute.
