Side events Spanish ICT Innovation industry: Pushing for European growth and sustainability

13th April.

Rationale

This session pretends to offer a comprehensive view of the Spanish ICT Innovation Industrial challenges and roadmaps, its capabilities, strengths and future potential, as well as the role that such a strong industrial sector can play, directly in the future European ICT scenario and indirectly supporting other strategic sectors for Europe such as Climate Change, Energy efficiency, eHealth and services, etc. This view of the Spanish ICT industry would be based on the Technology Platforms structure, being eS.INTERNET, eNEM, eMOV, eISI, and others… showing their respective roadmaps towards a sustainable innovation landscape.

The central themes around which the conference would fall are Future Internet, networked media, SatCom, Mobility as specific technological focuses and the European Grand Societal Challenges (as agreed in the Lund Declaration1) as target objective for the European Society and ultimate goal for European R&D and innovation.
